Appliance Management Program Energy conservation audits to identify heat loss from appliances, light bulbs, water heaters, waterbeds, refrigerators, freezers, clothes washers and dryers, air conditioners, portable space heaters, ovens, ranges and lights. Article 23 Youth Diversion Program Provides comprehensive assessments parent education, and case management services for families with children between the ages of 9-17 to address issues, which are affecting the youth and family’s emotional, physical, psychological and social well-being. Referrals are accepted from Family Court, Juvenile Hearing Boards, Police Depts., DCYF, schools, and through self-referral for wayward, disobedient, and/or truant youth.

Parenting Wisely & Family Functional Therapy Parenting Wisely is designed to help teens and their families to increase communication; decrease family conflict; increase parental supervision; improve discipline and parenting techniques; and reduce or prevent juvenile delinquency, substance abuse; school failure; violent behaviors, and teen pregnancy. Youth and families referred through Juvenile Hearing Boards, Truancy Courts, and through Self-Referral.

Personal Choice Waiver Provides assessment and enrollment to participants; development, implementation, and monitoring of Individual Service and Spending Plan (ISSP); training and guidance to program participants to support self-direction, ensure health and safety through routine program monitoring activities, promote participants independence by providing annual assessments of accessibility, equipment needs, and health education needs; and assistance to client toward oversight of care and arrangement of necessary services. Referrals are accepted on a statewide basis. Must be eligible for RI Medical Assistance, in need of Personal Care. Only seniors and disabled adults are eligible for services.

Weatherization and Appliance Management Program Assists low-income individuals and families to permanently reduce their energy consumptions and increase energy efficiencies. Energy Audits conducted to determine need for insulation, weatherstripping, pipe sealer, replacement of storm windows and doors. AMP examines electrical use in the home (computerized audit) and replaces light bulbs, small appliances and refrigerators, if they are determined to be inefficient. Must meet income eligibility guidelines.

Youth Responsibility Science-based curriculum to assist youth in assuming responsibility for their actions and the possible consequences of those actions, includes life skills training, prevention-based curriculum. Non-pregnant or parenting youth who are at risk for teen pregnancy (or second unwanted pregnancy), dropping out of school, substance abuse, and juvenile delinquency.
